After successfully attracting participants from 62 countries, Modest Fashion & Womenpreneur Summit (MFWS) 2024 is ready to set sail. For three consecutive days starting on February 8, 9 and 10, 2024, MFWS 2024 will be the new home for women entrepreneurs from around the world to network and collaborate.

In its debut, MFWS 2024 presents the overarching theme of the High Level Women Forum for Economic Growth and Sustainability. In keeping with this theme, MFWS 2024 is envisioned to be a new platform for women entrepreneurs to expand their networks while accelerating the growth of their brands in this increasingly competitive market.

“High level means that we have values to solve the problems in our business. We always have a desire to be bigger and bigger. Desire to tackle greater challenges. Always trying to push the envelope, to discover what would be our limit–if any. By building this brand new platform, we hope to connect women entrepreneurs with similar vision,” said Ayu May Fakih, CEO of Kreasi Mode International, the company behind MFWS 2024.

From the overarching theme, MFWS 2024 broke it down into three main discussions to give it more focus in a more applicable context: Marketing Strategy, Finance & Investment Strategy, and System Strengthening.

“As entrepreneurs, those three things are what we are thinking day by day because those are the driving fuel for our business. Marketing–how do we formulate a marketing strategy that is relevant with the trends on the market. Investment and financing–how do we get more funds to boost our growth and production. System strengthening–this is what a business is all about, system building,” said Ayu.

To give proper insights regarding those three topics, MFWS 2024 will be presenting various speakers who are experts in their respective fields. Among them are Eva Law (Head of Association of Family Offices in Asia), Nur Asia Uno (Head of Asosiasi Fashion Indonesia), Susan Emir (Founder of Rumah Sabine), Alia Khan (Founder of Islamic Fashion and Design Council), and more to be announced.

To enhance the impact of MFWS 2024, Kreasi Mode International is collaborating with numerous brands and organizations. Given the extensive scope of this international event, which will be attended by women entrepreneurs from 62 countries, it would be difficult to manage it by a single entity.

“So far we have gathered eight partners. Among these eight are Asosiasi Fashion Indonesia, Modest Fashion Australia, Modest Fashion Manila, Islamic Fashion & Design Council from London, Association of Family Office in Asia from Hong Kong, Scarf Media, Hellobcr, and Indonesian Fashion Chamber,” said Nurasiah Jamil as the Project Manager of MFWS 2024.

MFWS 2024 is not your typical business summit because it will also feature a modest fashion show. Twelve modest fashion brands will showcase their proudest collections. Currently, five brands have confirmed their participation: By Ayu Dyah Andari, Hijaberlin, BT Batik Trusmi, Zeta Prive, and Greenism.

“MFWS 2024 will kick off with a modest fashion show, featuring 12 slots for participating brands. At the moment, we have confirmed five outstanding Indonesian brands. Currently, we are actively curating and reaching out to international brands to fill the remaining slots,” said Nurasiah.

To introduce the event and generate awareness, the MFWS 2024 committee organized a series of mini-events titled ‘Intimate Gathering.’ The first gathering took place on December 5 in South Jakarta, drawing participation from 23 local fashion brands. The second event, held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, saw the attendance of 25 Malaysian brands and organizations. The upcoming gathering, scheduled for December 17, will be conducted virtually for Australian participants

MFWS 2024 was established by Ayu May Fakih, the founder of Kreasi Mode International. Ayu has extensive experience in organizing international events for youth development. Notably, her Model United Nations initiative has made a global impact, reaching participants from over 100 countries

“Together with Kreasi Mode International, I want to build a platform where women entrepreneurs can connect with each other and collaborate without having to worry about distance or nationality. MFWS 2024 will act as an inclusive space with diverse participation for women entrepreneurs around the world,” said Ayu.
